U23 Vietnam had an overwhelming triumph against U23 Indonesia by the goal of Trieu Viet Hung at a few minutes at the end of the match. This is the game we didn’t play excellently enough, but after all, everything cleared away at the last minute.
Being an underdog in this match, U23 Indonesia were eliminated out of the race to the Final round AFC U23 Championship 2020 Qualifiers. Speaking at the press conference after the game, Indra Sjafri told that his pupils performed an outstanding playing and the failure just came from fixed situations:
"This was an impressive and intriguing game. Indonesia had had static to deal with Vietnam's strategy. The last-minute goal made me regret, but it came from a fixed situation so not my students who are to blame for losing the game".

Indra added: "We had wanted to play attack against Vietnam's team because of the disadvantage previous result, but my team has already known that Vietnam is a defensive team playing very well, so I made the careful recommendation to my students and didn’t allow them to rush. We also resolved most of Vietnam's attacking situations in the match but the final goal. My students completed 90% of my requests in this match.”
"I would also like to cheer up Vietnam’s victory and hope the team will have the ticket to come to Thailand next year. For Indonesia, football is a game and a game must have the winner and the loser and we will never stop trying as well as keep planning for developing the future".
