Thể Thao 247 - The major reason leading to Incheon’s downward and Coach Andersen leaving is not Cong Phuong but the whole team.

The 1995-shooter Nguyen Cong Phuong took a step to Korea with the goal to conquer one of the biggest continent football game and create an advancing impetus for Vietnamese footballers ahead of K.League.

Since the match Cong Phuong was in the formation, Incheon United has utterly suffered 5 losses and Coach Andersen had to leave Incheon. There are many reasons for that

Incheon is just an average football team

In the last season, Incheon ranked 9/12. This year, it took 1 valuable player but lost 2 key elements: Moon Seon-min having 14 goals and 6 assists and Elías Aguilar scoring 3 goals and supporting his teammates hit 10 goals.

Coach Andersen failed in commanding the troop Cong Phuong

The less-science strategy of Coach Andersen unintentionally eliminates Cong Phuong’s potentiality. The Vietnamese striker was always like a fish out of the water in the team.

After all, a bright future awaits under guidance of Lim Joong Yong

In the first day work as Incheon’s Coach, Lim Joong Yong straightly pointed out Cong Phuong’s weakness and sent a sign about Cong Phuong’s new position in the line-up:

"It seems that Cong Phuong gets pressure on the concept of an attacker player has to good at disputing the ball. However, having weaknesses in physical strength, he is a bit of worn out. If he has high-performance in a lower position, I think it will be better for both Cong Phuong and our team."

With the high-quality in technique and having an impressive foresight, Cong Phuong can absolutely boost his ability as well as create breakthrough for Incheon.

Don’t worry, Cong Phuong! Just keep trying and fighting…
