Indonesia coach Simon McMenemy has called up 4 more newcomers to the national team to prepare for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers against the UAE and Vietnam.
McMenemy pledged to revamp the national team following Indonesia’s losses to Malaysia and Thailand, which angered fans.
The new players are goalkeeper Wawan Hendrawan (Bali United), midfielder Wawan Febrianto (Tira Persikabo), midfielder Dendi Santoso (Arema FC), and striker Lerby Eliandry (Borneo FC).
Indonesia will begin training in Jakarta on October 1 before travelling to the UAE on October 10. They will take on Vietnam at home on October 15.
